APPLE


Apple comes from an American multinational corporation that desins and creates hardware products, such as, computers, cell phones or tablets. Most people like Apple because of the design and the quality. Since 2001, Apple's corporation has created the best phone every year which has caused that these phones have been the most needed in the world. The symbol of this brand, as the name says, is an apple and the products are usually white. 

These phones can be the best in tthe world, but there are a lot of phones that are similar to them. Apple is expensive and we can get similar phones cheaper than iPhones. I am refering to iPhones because nowadays most people have one and, in most of the cases, people have an iPhone to feel cool. That's because famous people have iPhones and also because they are expensive. Apart from being expensive, there is labor exploitation in Asia because of this brand. And also, it is said that the Apple's factories damage the environment a lot. It is normal that Apple catches the attention of the people because apart from the design and the quality of the products, they use good and sweet slogans with them. Anyway, other brands like Sansung or Nokia, have good quality too and every year they are improving as iPhones. 

In summary, Apple is a goo brand that most people love but, in my opinion, you do not have to spend too much money on a cell phone, having other phones cheaper with similar conditions. I do not mind to have the same phone that had a famous person, I can buy a cheaper phone and save the mone for other important things. 

3rt Practice (problem-solution composition)

The phone is better far away.


Nowadays it is difficult to live without a cell phone. We need a phone to be in contact with people every day, and not just to be in contact, we can also have Internet in our phone to look for information, play games, look for the weather, see the hour... So, a mobile phone is a wireless handheld device that allows users to make calls and send text messages, among other features.

The cell phones have electromagnetic waves and these waves can affect you badly. First, talking with someone for fifty minutes or more can cause a headeache. But we can use the messaging instead of the calls to avoid this problem. The following problem that we may incure is sleeping with the cell phone, at least at three mettres from us. The last problem I would like to point out is the risk of cancer that involves us because of the proximity of the phone. So the phone is better off or far from us.

In summary, this is an issue which people don not have in mind but they should. People think that nothing is going to happen with them, maybe not, but maybe yes. By the way, it is not good to have the cell phone close to us all time, specially while we are sleeping, so we have to avoid this keeping the phone as far as possible form us.

OVERWEIGHT


I. Nowadays obesity or overweight is a big problem that involves people. Overweight causes a lot of serious problems to your health and it comes from many factors such as, the family, the environment or the habits.

II. The family can lead you to obesity.
   a) What kind of food are you eating at home?
   b) How can you avoid this?
   c) Your family is a great support to help you.

III. Your environment can lead you to obesity too.
   a) Habits that you have.
   b) What kind of food do you buy at the supermarket or where do you usually go to eat?
   c) Mc Donald's, Burguer King and KFC are good examples of fast food restaurants where people who            have obesity usually go to eat.

IV. The habits that you have depending of you.
   a) You need to meet five meals every day.
   b) You cannot eat whatever you want out of the meals.

V. The people that have obesity have the opportunity to save their lives. However, obesity comes from other factors, for instance, metabolism or genetics, and these people have more difficulty to lose weight. So if you have the chance, do it, save your health.

Working as an au-pair is a good way to travel and learn languages. You can travel as a nurse in a unknown family and at the same time you are living with them. Depending on the family, they can cook for you or they can give you some money fot the job. Most of the people don not like this experience and the reason is because they do not trust in activities like this one. It is true that there are some disadvantages such as, the family cannot pay you after all or they ask you to do other activities apart of taking care of the children. However there are advantages too, you meet new people and you learn about their culture. Anyway being an au-pair is a right experience for everyone and you should try it.

Dubstep Christmas lights.

I love december. This month brings Chirstmas and it means happiness. All the streets are full of Chirstmas lights and decorations. People are walking along the streets, buying present for the family, taking pictures with Santa Claus, seeing Belen portal's and also meeting with their families more that any month.
But here in Spain, Christmas is not as stronger as North-America or maybe, another English speaking country. They are accustomed to decorating their gardens with light deers, with the figure of Santa Claus and his sleight, with Christmas trees, presents... As much as their gardens are decorated as better.

So, there are a competition between the gardens decoration of the houses in some parts of North-America. They put a lot of lights with beautiful forms in their gardens, they put music too, and then, they put the lights to the compass of the music.

It's amazing, but to do that, you must have a lot of time to decorate it or a lot of friends to help you, apart of having money to pay the consume of the lights and the decoration. Do you want to be the first to do this in Spain? It will be fun, I would like to see it.

The movie "Vera Drake"

Vera Drake is the name of a movie that was created in 2004, but it based in the fifties, in London, Britain. The movie shows the kind of life that the people have in that time. We see the differences between the high class and the working class. In this case, Drake family belongs to a working class who seem so happy together. Drake looks so kind in the movie because she feels useful to the people and she helps everyone as much as she can. However, that gesture of kindness ends badly.

In the movie there are some social and political references. In the fifties, women were second class citizens, they had the right to vote since 1920, but they didn’t hold office in any large numbers. Also, according to the “women rights”, men decided if they wanted to have sex with the woman that they had chosen. Given this, the woman did not have any choice, they can’t say that they didn’t want because the right of man prevailed upon woman's. According to this, also if the man had to have the baby, the woman had to have it. There is a part in the movie which shows a man kissing and touching a woman who doesn’t want to make it, but finally he gets it. Another reference is that the women apart of raising her children, keeping the house clean and cooking, they could go to work outside of  her  home. They used to work in the factories or they worked in the field because the men in this period had to go to the war and they leave their jobs, but when they came back they wanted their jobs back too. The protagonist, Vera Drake, has two jobs, one in the factory and the other one cleaning the houses of rich people. Another reference which is important in this period is the rights of black women. They had a lot less rights than white women. Black women were discriminated against, just because they were black. The movie shows a black women crying because of her sad situation.

The film is socially realistic because that happened in the fifties. It shows a lot of interesting characteristics that are interesting to know. To become as we are, the women have fought for the rights that we have now. The women were treated as if they were less important than the men. But any men thought how they were if they weren’t women just because they didn’t lift any finger to do things in the house. The women started doing a lot of strikes to win their rights and they got it. 

So it’s interesting to see movies like this one and see what happened in the past for understand why the things are like this now.

The phone is better far away. Introduction-Conclusion.

The phone is a remote communication tool that allows the reproduction of voice and sound to be transmited to remote locations, using electricity. Nowadays we cannot live without our cell phones especially because they are so useful to our way of live. We need a phone to be in contact with people every minute of every day, and not only to be in contact, but also, to have internet, listen to music, play games, check the weather, and for the time... 

However they have disadvantages too because of the electromagnetic waves which the cell phones have. 

Much research has been done about this and although every study has it's own results, most of them show the same thing. Firstly, that cell phones can cause headaches and insomnia which n my case, is true, and secondly, that prones are associated with a risk of cancer. However, in the last few years, the number of cases of cancer has not increased more than before, which is odd given the high use of cell phones. The bottom line is that their electromagnetic waves are not goof for us, so, we should take certain steps to save our health. 1) It's better to sent text messages rather tan make calls. 2)It's better to have leave your phone at least at 3 metres away from you while you are sleeping. 3) If youy pgone is on and you put it in a drawer, this will reduce the radiation but will not block it, so it it is better to turn the phone off when you are not going to use it for a few hours. 4) Research shows it is better not to talk on the phone with someone when the phone is charging because it can get hot and may explode. These are wise spets to take, especially for people who use their cell phone continuously. 

Overall, this is an issue which some people don't even think about, but they should because of the problems they can cause. Maybe, this is not important for some people because they think that nothing is going to happen to them, but it easily could. It is not good having the cell phone near you all time, especially when you are sleeping, so they shoulg be placed away from you. 

BLACK chocolate. 

Can you imagine how many good things has the black chocolate for you?

 1. It has antioxidants that protect your cells and they delay aging.
 2. It helps to balance your blood pressure.
 3. Chocolate triggers similar feelings to fall in love because it stimulates endorphin production methods.
 4. Black chocolate have a lot less fat than white chocolate and milk chocolate.
 5. It improves digestion and it stimulates the kidneys.
6.The brain function gets better with black chocolate.
 7. It improves fatigue symptoms, physical function, depression and anxiety.

Overweight. -Outline-

I. Million of people (specially americans) are overweight or obesity. Being overweight or obesity puts you at risk for many health problems. Your weight is the result of many factors, such as, family, environment or habits.

II. Family habits can lead you to a bad feeding.
  a) The type of food that you eat to bring you to be overweight.
  b) When do you realised that this is a problem?
  c) Can your family help to avoid it?

III. Environment and habits can lead you to a bad feeding too.
  a) The kind of food that you buy to bring to your house.
  b) If you do not want to spend enough money, you are going to go to the cheapest restaurant where there are fast food.
  c)Mc Donal's, Burguer King or KFC draw people who are get use to eat badly.

IV. Serious problems of overweight.
  a) Type 2 diabetes or high blood pressure.
  b) Problems which can end with your life such as certain cancers or breathing problems.

V. If your weight is caused by one of the factor that I said, you can avoid it because you have the opportunity to have a good life and you can live as much as you can. There are other people that can have the same problem that you because of other factors like the genetic or  the metabolism. These people have more difficulty to overcome their weight. So if you can avoid it, do it, save your life.

This sport is already in Granada, it's a good way to have fun with your friends. Shock and pushes to play football in a giant bubble. If you don't like football I'm sure that you will like in this way!

ENDANGERED ANIMALS.  Problem-Solution composition

Endangered animals have always been a big problem. We have already lost many animals such as grizzli bears, they were killed because for attacking cattles; japanese sea lions habitats were destroyed because of the Second War World; goat of the Pyreness, the last one of which died when a tree fell on it; the Javan Tiger, were killed off by the Indonesians although some people believe there is still one tiger left in the largest Java mountain; caribean monk seal, which were killed between the 1700s and the 1800s by people who wanted their fat to use in machinery and lamps, etc.

I'm very sad that these animals don't exist anymore and they were killed trough no fault of their own. They are animals, they kill other animals to feed themselves and they have their own habitats which sould not be disturbed by people. Given this was not stopped before, shows that people do not care and that they only have their interests at heart, such as getting fat from the caribean monk seal to use in their machinery.  Futhermore, animals need to adapt to the changes of the environment which takes time so if the changes occur suddenly, they cannot adapt in time and consequently die off as a species.

There are things we can do to protect the animals from natural disasters and from hunters. To prevent the animals from becoming endangered, we need to know about their habitats so we can learn to respect them and stop making such drastic changes to the environment. An alternative solution to avoid the animals becoming endangered, is to increase the penalties for trafficking offenses involving animals, although this would mean tracking these animals in order to catch them attacking the animals, wich would require more control in the animal- free areas. Using natural few resources, preventing overexploitation, and investing more funding in the breeding endangered animals are other possible  solutions to this problem, although it would take a lot of work.

In conclusion we should leave endangered animals alone. We should not killing them but taking care of them, especially if they are victims of a natural disaster. We have to protect them as much as we can and move them to safer places if they are problems in their original habitats.

FAMILY

Is there anything better that having a family? I do not think so... I do not know how to describe my feelings about my family, but I just want to say that my family is wonderful. 

I live with my parents in a house in the countryside, is called "La Torrecilla", outside Lorca. Close to my house, there is another house of two floors which my father built when there was a earthquake in Lorca and my grandparents lost their house. In the first floor live my grandparents and in the second floor live my brother Bienve and his couple with their child, my pretty Maria Lucia. Also, my father has his job next to my house and my brother Pedro works with him.  

Apart, all the weekends my cousins, my aunts and my uncles come to visit us and we have amazing meetings together. For all of these I feel kind of  alone during the week when I'm in Murcia, because at the weekend when I return home my family is around me all time. 

Some people do not have the family near them, but I do, and I think that this is marvelous because they are a great support and I can see them whenever I want. I do not have any member of my family living in the abroad, just in Spain and the plenty of them are in Murcia. I wish I'll be always like I am now, because I don't want to think how I would be without them.

LIVING IN A HOUSE AGAINST LIVING IN A FLAT.  Block method. 

I live in a house in the countryside since I born. But when I was around 15 or 16 I wanted to live in a flat because I used to go there a lot and my parents had take me to everywhere. Last year I moved into a flat because I started at university, so now, I can see the difference between living in a house and living in a flat. These differences are what I'm going to discuss.

Living in a house. Depending on where the house is, you can make noise if you want to, since you do not have neighbors living above or below you. You can also have parties and you invite a lot of friends because you have enough space inside and can also use the garden. You can also build a swimming pool next to your house, or a barbecue or whatever you wanted to build. Similarly, you can have as many animals as you want, because you can take care of them in your garden. Furthermore, living in the countryside is better for your health because there is much less polution than in the city. The last thing I would like to point is that it is quiet there is no traffic noise to both you at night because there are almost no cars. 

Living in a flat. It  usually is smaller and cosier than a house but this depends on the size. The good thing is that you don't have to clean much, but the bad things are that you can't make noise because you have neighbors above and below you. Neither you cannot have any pets since you have to live together in a limited space and you don't have a garden. Depending on where it is, you don't have to use the car very often and because they are usually in the city  (the buildings usually are in the city), you don't spend much money on petrol.

Overall, a house is a more comfortable to live in because there is more space and if it is in the countru, there is more fresh air. You also have lots of space to do outdoor activities and can invite as many people you want. This is my personal opinion, but there are many people who live flats.

Bullfights. Opinion paragraph.

In Spain, to "see the bulls" means seeing how the bullfighter tries to hurt the bull. I know this sport is very popular in Spain and a lot of people enjoy it. But, why?, the bull is an image of Spain, so why we have to hurt this animal?. I'm oppose this game and always will. From my viewpoint, they have no reason to kill or hurt these animals; they should respect them and stop of showcasing them for people who have nothing else to do. Did you ask a person from another country his or her opinion about this game? Do it if you didn't ask, but I do, and all of them told me negative things, like: bad game, poor bulls, they are wicked by do that... Torturing an animal, and knowing you are torturing it, is crazy. The bulls feel pain, but cannot save it's own live since it is subjected to a series of systematic torture. We should put a stop to this game forever and leave the poor bulls,alone once and for all.

The best person for me.

The best person I know is my mother. This is not only  because she ' s my mom is because she is my best friend. 

She is 51 years old . She has straight black hair, and medium - high . Everyone tells us that we have the same smile , which I love. When I get home (because I'm living out of my house ) , she sits me down and she asks me how my week in Murcia has gone. I can tell her about everything. I do not lie to her because I'm not embarrassed to tell her my private things. She only tries to help me , so I don't have to hide anything from her. Apart from being the best mother , she is a great member of my family, because she is always helping us, she takes care of my niece, brothers , grandparents , father , cousins ​​... She is always doing something for someone else. We try to stop her, because  we never see her taking any time for herself, but she does not mind. She does everything she can to make everybody else to feel good.

If I has to describe a good person, she would be my mother. I'm so lucky to haver her because she is a great mother and I know that not everyone has a mother like mine. 

Spanglish

Spanglish is a morphosyntactic, semantic fusion between English and Spanish. There are many English terms  that are wrongly translated and used in Spanish, like “parquear”, “ir de shopping” y “mopear”. However this type of language is used in The United States, largely because of Latin Americcan's  influence over the years, which has led to an undeniable cultural fusion. The use of Spanglish has spread in everyday life and appears  in the mass communication. We can’t consider the Spanglish as a language, since it will not succeed replacing Spanish in the EE.UU.

On the one hand, there are a lot of people that don’t like Spanglish, because they believe it to be unsatisfactory mix of these two languages of different origin, and it’s destrimental to both languages.
And on the other hand, there are people who believe using Spanglish allows them to communicate in a more colloquial way, it is a need communicative and it shows creativity.

I do not consider Spangligh to be a language, or do I believe it ever will be or have its own dictionary , but people who live in that ambient, they can use Spanglish for informal comunnitacion for example, between friends or family. In many cases, we wrongy use Spanglish but that does not mean that Spanish will be modified.

I choose this issue, because I want to talk about the ethnicism in The United States. In this country there are a big mix of differents nationalities and religions.

The most recent data obtained from the 1990 census, according to which:
58 million inhabitants are of English descent
38.7 million people are of Irish descent
32.7 million inhabitants are of German descent
That's because when America was discovered, a lot of people of the north of Europe moved to USA. But before this, there were a lot of indians in these lands. The people that moved from Europe, they stayed in the best zones of The United States, away from the indians. Then, people from other countries started to move here too, differents ethnic groups such as, asians and from the Pacific island, africans and other races.
After that, white people rejected black people (around 1940). So, they began to get in troubles. White people didn't want to be in contact with black people, so they established  differences between both in schools, neighborhoods, bars, bus... etc. That was terrible, but white people in that era thought  that black people was a bad influence. Also, there was another different, and it was that white people were of medium class or high and black people were just poor. 

Thanks God this changed during the years. After 1960, the life changed for the better to the black people. The children, blacks and whites went to the same school, Carl Stokes was the first black person to be elected mayor, the blacks could be actors in the movies... 

Nowadays, the thinking has changed. We don't have differences between people that have other colours, that's pathetic. We are humans, we are the same, and we have to respect each other. That's what I think.
Anyway, today, there are white people that reject black people still. And doesn't matter the country, even in Spain. That's really a shame, because they don't understand that there's not a difference between us, and bad people can be black, white, yellow people...

I love meeting people from other nationalities, I respect them, and I'm never going to thought otherwise.
