APPLE


Apple comes from an American multinational corporation that desins and creates hardware products, such as, computers, cell phones or tablets. Most people like Apple because of the design and the quality. Since 2001, Apple's corporation has created the best phone every year which has caused that these phones have been the most needed in the world. The symbol of this brand, as the name says, is an apple and the products are usually white. 

These phones can be the best in tthe world, but there are a lot of phones that are similar to them. Apple is expensive and we can get similar phones cheaper than iPhones. I am refering to iPhones because nowadays most people have one and, in most of the cases, people have an iPhone to feel cool. That's because famous people have iPhones and also because they are expensive. Apart from being expensive, there is labor exploitation in Asia because of this brand. And also, it is said that the Apple's factories damage the environment a lot. It is normal that Apple catches the attention of the people because apart from the design and the quality of the products, they use good and sweet slogans with them. Anyway, other brands like Sansung or Nokia, have good quality too and every year they are improving as iPhones. 

In summary, Apple is a goo brand that most people love but, in my opinion, you do not have to spend too much money on a cell phone, having other phones cheaper with similar conditions. I do not mind to have the same phone that had a famous person, I can buy a cheaper phone and save the mone for other important things. 

3rt Practice (problem-solution composition)

The phone is better far away.


Nowadays it is difficult to live without a cell phone. We need a phone to be in contact with people every day, and not just to be in contact, we can also have Internet in our phone to look for information, play games, look for the weather, see the hour... So, a mobile phone is a wireless handheld device that allows users to make calls and send text messages, among other features.

The cell phones have electromagnetic waves and these waves can affect you badly. First, talking with someone for fifty minutes or more can cause a headeache. But we can use the messaging instead of the calls to avoid this problem. The following problem that we may incure is sleeping with the cell phone, at least at three mettres from us. The last problem I would like to point out is the risk of cancer that involves us because of the proximity of the phone. So the phone is better off or far from us.

In summary, this is an issue which people don not have in mind but they should. People think that nothing is going to happen with them, maybe not, but maybe yes. By the way, it is not good to have the cell phone close to us all time, specially while we are sleeping, so we have to avoid this keeping the phone as far as possible form us.

OVERWEIGHT


I. Nowadays obesity or overweight is a big problem that involves people. Overweight causes a lot of serious problems to your health and it comes from many factors such as, the family, the environment or the habits.

II. The family can lead you to obesity.
   a) What kind of food are you eating at home?
   b) How can you avoid this?
   c) Your family is a great support to help you.

III. Your environment can lead you to obesity too.
   a) Habits that you have.
   b) What kind of food do you buy at the supermarket or where do you usually go to eat?
   c) Mc Donald's, Burguer King and KFC are good examples of fast food restaurants where people who            have obesity usually go to eat.

IV. The habits that you have depending of you.
   a) You need to meet five meals every day.
   b) You cannot eat whatever you want out of the meals.

V. The people that have obesity have the opportunity to save their lives. However, obesity comes from other factors, for instance, metabolism or genetics, and these people have more difficulty to lose weight. So if you have the chance, do it, save your health.

Working as an au-pair is a good way to travel and learn languages. You can travel as a nurse in a unknown family and at the same time you are living with them. Depending on the family, they can cook for you or they can give you some money fot the job. Most of the people don not like this experience and the reason is because they do not trust in activities like this one. It is true that there are some disadvantages such as, the family cannot pay you after all or they ask you to do other activities apart of taking care of the children. However there are advantages too, you meet new people and you learn about their culture. Anyway being an au-pair is a right experience for everyone and you should try it.

Dubstep Christmas lights.

I love december. This month brings Chirstmas and it means happiness. All the streets are full of Chirstmas lights and decorations. People are walking along the streets, buying present for the family, taking pictures with Santa Claus, seeing Belen portal's and also meeting with their families more that any month.
But here in Spain, Christmas is not as stronger as North-America or maybe, another English speaking country. They are accustomed to decorating their gardens with light deers, with the figure of Santa Claus and his sleight, with Christmas trees, presents... As much as their gardens are decorated as better.

So, there are a competition between the gardens decoration of the houses in some parts of North-America. They put a lot of lights with beautiful forms in their gardens, they put music too, and then, they put the lights to the compass of the music.

It's amazing, but to do that, you must have a lot of time to decorate it or a lot of friends to help you, apart of having money to pay the consume of the lights and the decoration. Do you want to be the first to do this in Spain? It will be fun, I would like to see it.

The movie "Vera Drake"

Vera Drake is the name of a movie that was created in 2004, but it based in the fifties, in London, Britain. The movie shows the kind of life that the people have in that time. We see the differences between the high class and the working class. In this case, Drake family belongs to a working class who seem so happy together. Drake looks so kind in the movie because she feels useful to the people and she helps everyone as much as she can. However, that gesture of kindness ends badly.

In the movie there are some social and political references. In the fifties, women were second class citizens, they had the right to vote since 1920, but they didn’t hold office in any large numbers. Also, according to the “women rights”, men decided if they wanted to have sex with the woman that they had chosen. Given this, the woman did not have any choice, they can’t say that they didn’t want because the right of man prevailed upon woman's. According to this, also if the man had to have the baby, the woman had to have it. There is a part in the movie which shows a man kissing and touching a woman who doesn’t want to make it, but finally he gets it. Another reference is that the women apart of raising her children, keeping the house clean and cooking, they could go to work outside of  her  home. They used to work in the factories or they worked in the field because the men in this period had to go to the war and they leave their jobs, but when they came back they wanted their jobs back too. The protagonist, Vera Drake, has two jobs, one in the factory and the other one cleaning the houses of rich people. Another reference which is important in this period is the rights of black women. They had a lot less rights than white women. Black women were discriminated against, just because they were black. The movie shows a black women crying because of her sad situation.

The film is socially realistic because that happened in the fifties. It shows a lot of interesting characteristics that are interesting to know. To become as we are, the women have fought for the rights that we have now. The women were treated as if they were less important than the men. But any men thought how they were if they weren’t women just because they didn’t lift any finger to do things in the house. The women started doing a lot of strikes to win their rights and they got it. 

So it’s interesting to see movies like this one and see what happened in the past for understand why the things are like this now.

The phone is better far away. Introduction-Conclusion.

The phone is a remote communication tool that allows the reproduction of voice and sound to be transmited to remote locations, using electricity. Nowadays we cannot live without our cell phones especially because they are so useful to our way of live. We need a phone to be in contact with people every minute of every day, and not only to be in contact, but also, to have internet, listen to music, play games, check the weather, and for the time... 

However they have disadvantages too because of the electromagnetic waves which the cell phones have. 

Much research has been done about this and although every study has it's own results, most of them show the same thing. Firstly, that cell phones can cause headaches and insomnia which n my case, is true, and secondly, that prones are associated with a risk of cancer. However, in the last few years, the number of cases of cancer has not increased more than before, which is odd given the high use of cell phones. The bottom line is that their electromagnetic waves are not goof for us, so, we should take certain steps to save our health. 1) It's better to sent text messages rather tan make calls. 2)It's better to have leave your phone at least at 3 metres away from you while you are sleeping. 3) If youy pgone is on and you put it in a drawer, this will reduce the radiation but will not block it, so it it is better to turn the phone off when you are not going to use it for a few hours. 4) Research shows it is better not to talk on the phone with someone when the phone is charging because it can get hot and may explode. These are wise spets to take, especially for people who use their cell phone continuously. 

Overall, this is an issue which some people don't even think about, but they should because of the problems they can cause. Maybe, this is not important for some people because they think that nothing is going to happen to them, but it easily could. It is not good having the cell phone near you all time, especially when you are sleeping, so they shoulg be placed away from you.
