The importance of tea. Quoute your sources

I have heard my mum telling me so many times: drink tea! It’s good for your health! It is very good for you.  Do you know how many types of tea there are nowadays? If you tried it and didn’t like it, there are plenty of types to try. Tea is an aromatic beverage commonly prepared by pouring hot or boiling water over cured leaves of the Camellia sinensis, an evergreen shrub native to Asia.

Green tea is considered the healthiest because it contains a lot of antioxidants which can help you to live longer. Furthermore it helps you to lose weight naturally by improving the cellular function of the organism. It also improves the depuration process and beautifies you skin.
White tea is from China and is produced in the high mountains of the Fujian Provence. White tea is an expensive, refined product which is also good for your health. It is said that this type of tea is three times more effective than green tea. It is also fourteen times more powerful than a glass of orange juice in improving your defenses. It eliminates body fat and it is recommended for people with a tendancy to be nervous, since it contains half the caffeine of the green tea.
Blue tea contains many vitamins and minerals. It keeps the heart healthy and the rest of the body healthy in general. It reduces the effects of alcohol and helps to keep the teeth healthy.
Red tea is considered as “the healthy drink” in China because it does not contain any detrimental substances to the body. Not only does it fight depression and aids weight loss, but it reduces the cholesterol in the blood and can help control a bed temper. The bad thing about it is that it can cause tachycardia because it stimulates the heart rate.
There are also other types of tea such as, black tea or yellow tea.

In conclusion, every type of tea has qualities which are needed for good health. But above all, tea improves your diet and reduces body fat. I have to say that after reading all of this, I’m going to start drinking more tea.

Thesis Statement: Adoption of animals.

Adopting animals is a great act of humanity because these animals have lived in bad situations and conditions or they could live the same way in the future if we don't help them.

How I met my American Family.

I was just 15 years old when I developed to desire to travel. I discovered a program called Interway where it is possible to travel to England or the United States of America. The great thing about this program is that’re traveling with a group of students from Spain and you will be staying in a host family in order to learn the language and customs of that country. Unfortunately, it was too expensive for me, two or three week’s abroad costs between 2.500 and 3.000 euros, whatever the destiny was. So, I could not take advantage of that opportunity, but I thought that I wanted to improve my English-speaking capabilities and maybe there were other less expensive options to practice it.

Instead of travelling abroad, I was given the opportunity to invite an American student to stay with my family and me. So that’s exactly what I did.  Few weeks after, a group of Americans came to Totana. This group of Americans was organized by Interway too.  They came to Spain to stay in two weeks;the first week to travel around the provences and then to spend some time living with  a Spanish host family. Sarah is the name of the student who came to stay with me. She turned out to be very nice and polite. My mother and I showed her the most popular parts of Lorca such as, the old castle, the best churches, the beach, “El Merendero”, etc. One week was too short of time to enjoy Lorca however, we had a great time together.

Two years later, I had turned 17 years old and I was invited to America in order to visit with Sarah and her family. At first my parents was concerned that I was too young to be travelling alone. Eventually I persuade my parents to allow me to go. It was a little bit confusing at the airport.I had only traveled by plane once before and it was when I was only 5 years old. When I arrived, there they were looking at me with a bouquet of flowers in the baggage claim, what a beautiful welcome! Then, we go to their house and they showed me my bedroom. I loved the house and the neighborhood; It felt as though I was in a movie. I stayed in there two weeks. I did many activities such as, going to the biggest Mall in the country, we visited the Minnesota’s Zoo, we went to the cinema, saw many of the popular lakes in the state (Minnesota is known as the land of 10,000 lakes). There was so much to do and amazing people to meet, even a wedding.

Last summer I visited them again. This time, I stayed in there three weeks, I would have liked to stay in more days but I could not because the week before I was in London. This time I met Sarah’s grandparents who I love. We went to see the fireworks on 4th of July, we had dinner crossing the Mississippi River, and we went to different restaurants such as Spanish restaurant, Greek restaurant, Argentine restaurant, Japanese restaurant, Chinese restaurant, Italian restaurant, Indian restaurant… I always ate outdoors during my trip. We went shopping, we went to the theatre to see “My fair Lady”, and we went to an amazing landscape. I also cooked for them Spanish food such as pan de Calatraba, tortilla de patatas y sangría. They really loved pan de Calatraba. After these three weeks, I went to New York with Sarah’s grandpa and Sarah. We stayed in Long Island one week and then I came back to Spain. Her grandpa showed me a lot of parts of New York. I went to Wall Street, China Town, The Little Italy, Manhattan, I saw the Statue of Liberty, Jones Beach…

Thanks to my American family I’ve known such a lot of things and I did a lot of activities that I could not have done without their help. I’ve met wonderful people and my English improved a lot. I love the United States and I’m  hopeful that I will visit again soon. Meanwhile, they know they’re invited to visit with me anytime.

Maldives Islands. My favourite place.

My favorite place would be Maldives Islands. The reason is because I love clear water, I love this type of seaside and the sun. The environment of this island is so beautiful, the views are wonderful and the forestation is extremely striking. I also love the animals, and they are mostly free in this island. Added to this, you can do a lot of activities in the water such as, snorkeling, fishing, para sailing, wind surfing, swimming, diving and so on.  You cannot get bored in this island; there are many other activities apart from water sports. Staying some days in an overwater bungalow would be my dream. This is the paradise; wake up in the morning seeing the seaside around you with a perfect weather to take a bath. No so many people around you, and no worries.

Unfortunately Maldives Islands are too expensive. Staying in a Resort there 6 nights could cost 1.500 euros min., and if you decide to stay in overwater bungalow would be around 2.500 euros. My objective is to go in two summers. I will save money and I hope my dream become real.

Here I have some of my cousin's pictures in Maldives.

THE IMPORTANCE OF STUDYING ABROAD. (advantages-disadvantages)

Since, 1987 students have scholarships that are designed to aid them in the costs while they are receiving education abroad. There are many different types of scholarships to help students with the educational expenses for at least, one year. This activity is a wonderful experience in many factors. Although it is costly to pay for education as well as rent or room board if a student does not get a scholarship. Studying abroad is an amazing opportunity which anyone can take advantage of during their professional career.

There are many advantages that this experience has. Nevertheless there are a few disadvantages too. Starting with the advantages, one of them is that students learn a language and customs different from the ones practiced in their own country. While visiting, living and studying abroad, they have the opportunity to practice the language while they talk with people from this country and at the same time they observe and practice the customs. This could be beneficial throughout their lives. If you are studying some career that is not relative with languages, for instance, medicine, being able to communicate with a patient in their own language could save their life. Moreover, abroad students meet other students from other countries. They can share travels around the country or to other countries, because apart from studying there, they like to go sightseeing. Even they share their thought about. Abroad students also know another culture different from their own and they can deal with their habits. According to the lodging, abroad students can live in a shared-flat with other roommates or they can stay in a dorm. Another place to stay is in a host family. I think the best option is to stay in a host family because this way you will observe better the local customs and etiquette. Finally, one of the best advantages of this program is gaining in your own independence and you would also learn to be more polite and respectful.

Apart from this experience being expensive there are few disadvantages I would like to point out. Firstly, if a student does not know well the language he can have troubles to understand the lessons. This disadvantage has a negative impact on the student’s ability to take accurate notes or writing homework assignments correctly. Secondly, the abroad student can feel kind of lost because out there he does not have any support of family and friends. Even if he feels ill or something like that, he has to take care for himself. In order to try and overcome these problems make sure you’re prepared to stay away from your family and your friends. Remember that there are many other students who wish that they were given this amazing opportunity and you are the lucky one to be able to go.

In short, I would just like to say that you should take advantage of this amazing chance of studying abroad because if you don’t, one day you will regret that this opportunity passed you by. So, go ahead and go abroad. When you get back, tell us all about it.

The Submarine Shark (complete essay)

The shark Submarine is a new species of shark that we didn’t recognize before. We have no pictures because there is only one; at least, we’ve found only this one. This shark is really huge and his length is awesome, which is unreal. Also, it is said to live to be more than forty years old according to his victims. It has been collected similar stories attending to this. So, these stories similar to the ones I’m going to describe have been collected and they gave rise to legend.

The Submarine Shark we thought that it was only a legend, but we were wrong. Since there were different stories of people encountering the shark last year they began to be taken seriously. All the shark’ victims that this shark has been killing, all of them, have been killed in the waters of South Africa. The first victim was a fisher. He was fishing with his brother when this shark come down the waters and surprised him. Her brother could not do anything for him, because unfortunately nobody can deal with sharks. Another anecdote which is relative with this shark is told by a girl. She studies the behavior and the habits of dolphins in South Africa and one day, she said that she saw something that she had not seen before. She was swimming with them, and suddenly they started to take her out of the water because something horrible was coming. The dolphins swam the other way, and the behaviorist saw that the big shark was coming. These two anecdotes match important data. They saw the head of the shark and they saw that the shark had a scar in his eye. Maybe he has the scar because of an attack from human he tried to kill.

The last day that this shark was seemed was around October 2014. There was a group of people from North Carolina and England that were vacationing in South Africa. They took a boat there to see the big whales and during their trip in this funny activity, the boat hit a rock under the water. So, the boat began to sink and people began jumping into the water, because they thought that they would drown if they were to remain inside of the sinking boat. The water patrol of these waters was at 50km away from the accident, so they called emergency helicopters to the incident to rescue the stranded vacationers. When the helicopters arrived, they inspect the area of the accident and there were twelve sharks around the people, so they started to get out the water. These sharks were white sharks, they don’t hurt people if they don’t smell blood, but they were around them and anyway it was dangerous.        Suddenly, the water patrol saw on their screen inspection that the white sharks swam away. This was really strange. The white sharks were around their favorite meal and them they swam away. Then, the water patrol understood why they swam away. A big shark appeared on their screen inspection and then he stopped. This was the reason to got out the waters the rest of the people but during the rescue, the big shark caught a woman and after killing her, the shark caught a man and he pushed him with his mouth out to sea but didn’t kill him. This was because when a shark eats something, he has to wait 35-40 minutes to make digestion and then he trough the skeleton. So, he was waiting to do the digestion and then he was going to eat another man. The water patrol, of course, could not do anything for the woman and the man, but they saved the other people. It was a horrible moment.

The waters of South Africa have to be watched more carefully to avoid killings like these ones. The Submarine Shark is huge but also really quick and in a few seconds he can eat you without thinking about it. Be on guard, and refrain from being close to dangerous waters.

I saw this documental in Discovery  Channel, it's awesome.
